How old should my baby be for class? Four weeks old with the belly button healed until PRE-crawling.
Why four sessions? Each week strokes are learned for a new part of the body. Giving parents and the baby time to become familiar and comfortable with the routine. Four weeks allows ample time to cover the whole body.
What type of oil/lotion should I use? Organic, cold-pressed vegetable or fruit based oil is ideal. Lotions are also a nice alternative. Try to choose a paraben-free lotion with natural ingredients.
Can I bring someone else with me to class? Infant massage is an interactive one-on–one experience. This class intended for one parent/caregiver per child.
What should I bring?
- A towel or blanket
- Natural based oil (free of nuts) or lotion
- A small soft toy
